Quote of the Day

Terrorism is the preferred weapon of weak and evil men.

- The Great President Ronald Reagan

If the man who rightly identified the Evil Empire were to expound on that, he’d most likely add that totalitarianism is the preferred weapon of strong and evil men; and we all know that strong and evil men use weak and evil men to do their dirty work.

Terrorism is merely a part of which its sum is totalitarianism. And none knew that better than the Gipper. We need to see more of that clarity in our foreign and trade policies.

I used to think George W. Bush was a lot like Reagan, but as the days, weeks, and years pass, he gets LESS like Reagan. He is wimping out on immigration, he is wimping out on social security and personal savings accounts, ... But I would still rather have him any day than a democrat.

Kerry is thinking about running again and I also heard Gore is thinking about it. Gee, is that the best they have to offer? At least they are good for comic relief, ha

I suppose at least Bush got back at Hu this week for the embarrassing photo op during Bush's last trip to the land of red butchers. I particularly enjoyed the wink-and-nod human rights protestor, Cheney in his shades, the dubbing of the Chinese national anthem as that belonging to Taiwan, and of course the informality of it all.

But I agree, by failing to see the illegal Mexican immigration issue as a foreign policy matter rather than a domestic one, Bush draws himself much closer to Jimmy Carter in letting our opponents set the framework of the debate.

Also, you might remember that Reagan as an undisputed capitalist nevertheless reined in foreign investment and technology transfers that were not in the national best interest.

I think it's by sheer grace the Dems have lowered themselves to the occasion so as to prevent themselves from taking back our government in a sweeping victory, if that turns out to be the case, as Ann Coulter put it during John Gibson's FoxNews show today.

But that doesn't help us with the designs countries like China, Russia, Mexico, Cuba, Iran, Syria, Libya, et al have on us; we still need a strong and courageous executive branch with a captain of legendary stature, vision, clarity, and character at the helm for that.
