Jezebel Lives in Washington

As many of you who are duly not shocked already know, the Senate voted to kill two very important amendments yesterday, effectively saying, “yes, what Bush said in his address and his little walk along the border were just attempts to shush the shallow.”

The Senate not only killed the Kyl-Cornyn amendment that kept those temporary workers Bush went on and on about temporary, it went on to kill the Ensign amendment, which was intended to punish illegals committing identity theft (remember, that crime the Justice Department has been telling us is so serious) with your Social Security number. But no matter, that’s your problem, not Senator Lügner’s.

But the part I love the most is how Reuters, ever vigilant in reporting facts without spin, announced the Ensign demise with this headline: Senate blocks effort to limit benefits to immigrants.

Yes, that’s right. Reuters intimated it, so it must be true: Your 103 year old great-grandma who came to Ellis Island on board the Lusitania when she was 10 and became a US citizen and just had her hip replaced two weeks ago was going to have her Medicaid canceled like a bad ABC sitcom by those evil conservatives until Senator Spectator, et al compassionately stepped in insisting, “oh no, you can’t deny this poor dear lady her Medicaid just because she is an immigrant...”

So despite Bush’s faux surrender Monday, the RINO, Dem, MSM, corrupt business, criminal Communist protester cabal lives on. Viva political autism (until we cancel their sitcom November 7).
