Ugly Bird Award: Imperial Senate Running Amuck

Dear Senators Durbin, Kennedy, Hagel, Brownback, McCain, and others who do not wish to hear the will of the people about border enforcement, rule of law, and protecting our national interest: Please keep being idiots; it will make our getting rid of you this November that much easier and more enjoyable.

And since you won't be around to see it, let me inform you of what will be taking place over the next several months after you're gone (and I've said this before): We who vote and our true representatives in the House will win the day, there will be no 193 million more invaders in the next twenty years (and most of those presently here illegally will be going home), and America will be back in the hands of the citizen, who, unlike any of you, has a conscience.

Today there is talk of a fence, so that's a start. Perhaps they are listening to us after all? We can only hope.

I am like you when it comes to voting in upcoming elections. I believe there will be some shocked politicians after the votes are counted.

Exactamundo!

There's zero doubt that the Senate's decision to add language supporting a border fence (and the President's choice to mobilize at least a symbolic gesture with the National Guard) is directly due to us - the American people standing up and giving them what-for. What's even more uplifting is that not only have the President and Senate ceded the argument, the American people are smart enough to know the Cheshire offering is not enough: we want the House version (the version the American people want and the non-American people who are hostile to our country don't want).

And nobody I know is taking too kindly to the Senate placating the latter group who didn't put them there to begin with.

These politicians suffer from a horrendous case of political autism (and bad math), but no matter. I agree with you that the political insiders who quaked in horror at the Reagan revolution and the one in '94 haven’t seen anything yet. :)

Go team go!

What's interesting is the 1986 Reagan immigration bill was almost identical to the one trying to get passed now. Only problem is they just granted the amnesty and never enacted any of the prevention measures. Just like what would happen today.

That's why we must seal the border first.

Man I hope ure right!!...seems as though its hopeless now ..even the Pres. backed down...sigh

Clearly the Senate is the alcoholic and amnesty is the alcohol.

El Presidente didn't back down from enforcement, not-enforcing is his strategy. He thought it was simply safe to make sure his paper tiger wouldn't irritate his Crawford constituent Vicente Fox. When he backs down, it's a good thing 'cause it means he's giving in to our side ;)

I sure wish we had someone in 1600 Penn who believed in America - ya nya panya mayo ispanski...
